Citroen C4 Cactus blossoms

03 September 2019

CITROEN has announced that the C4 Cactus Hatch is in line for a series of significant updates in October. Since its introduction in January last year, demand for the revised C4 Cactus has centred around the top of the range Flair version. These latest changes will capitalise upon this, incorporating Citroen’s unique suspension system with progressive hydraulic cushions and so-called advanced comfort seats, which both debuted on the revised C4 Cactus Hatch.

By offering a more refined ride and a high specification the model has attracted significant demand for the range-topping Flair version, which accounts for more than three quarters of sales. This growing demand for flagship models, which is now replicated through the Citroen range, will drive up a number of enhancements from autumn.

It means that the C4 Cactus Hatch range will reduce from three to two well-appointed versions. The Feel version, which is the current entry point to the C4 Cactus Hatch range, will disappear.

The new entry level version will be the well specified Origins Collector’s Edition, which was introduced earlier this year as part of the brand’s centenary celebrations.

As standard, the Origins trim gets distinctive 17-inch Cross black alloy wheels, MirrorScreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear parking sensors, automatic air-conditioning, automatic lights and windscreen wipers and a seven-inch colour touchscreen.

There are also interior ambience and exterior colour packs with bronze coloured design details.

The best-selling Flair trim level remains and will gain front parking sensors and the addition of keyless entry and push button start. These features add to an already comprehensive list of equipment, which includes an emergency call system, colour reversing camera and sat-nav with a three-year subscription to TomTom Live for real time traffic updates.

The top of the range Flair versions will continue to offer a variety of engine choices including PureTech petrol units with manual or automatic gearboxes and BlueHDi diesels.

The order book opens today with prices ranging from £20,090 to £23,705.
