Nissan Juke

Nissan Juke makes strong statement

01 June 2018

NISSAN has made a raft of changes to its Juke range, which is made in the North-East and will be on sale in its new guise from May.

The changes are designed to enhance the appeal of the car to younger buyers in a sector of the market that is swamped with new models.

In order to help the Juke stand out from the crowd there is a new dark chrome V-motion grille, dark headlamp interior and dark turn indicators on the door mirrors. Trendy high-visibility LED fog lamps are now standard from Acenta grade upwards.

Two new 16-inch alloy wheel designs are also added from Acenta grade, whilst the larger-diameter 18-inch wheels on Tekna grade models can be personalised with coloured inserts.

Coloured body parts, including the front and rear bumper finishers, door side sills and mirror caps are also available through the personalisation program. These are standard on BOSE Personal Edition and optional on Tekna models.

Two eye-catching new body colours of so-called Vivid Blue and Chestnut Bronze are added to further enhance the youthfulness of the vehicle.

Then there is BOSE Personal audio, which achieves an immersive 360-degree listening experience through sophisticated digital signal processing and half a dozen high-performance speakers.

These include a pair of the latest UltraNearfield speakers built into the driver’s seat head rest. This system is unique to Nissan and will be included as standard from the new BOSE Personal Edition grade.

Improvements to the interior include the choice of two new personalisation colours of Energy Orange and Power Blue. These further enhance the design of the central console, air vents, door inserts and seat upholstery, whilst gloss black interior personalisation will continue to be offered. Interior personalisation is standard on BOSE Personal Edition and Tekna grades.

There is also a higher grade of leather on the steering wheel, plus improved clarity for the combimeter with a new white-on-black information display.

The vehicle will continue to be offered in a choice of Visia, Acenta, BOSE Personal Edition and Tekna grades of trim and equipment.

Each comes with air-conditioning, electrically adjusting door mirrors, front and rear power windows, CD audio unit with aux port and LED daytime running lights.

Acenta grade adds front fog lamps, cruise control with speed limiter, automatic air-conditioning, privacy glass, USB port and Bluetooth connectivity.

From BOSE Personal Edition grade, the Juke comes with the NissanConnect infotainment system, a colour reversing camera, keyless entry and push-button start, electrically-folding door mirrors, part-leather seats, automatic headlights and the BOSE Personal sound system.

The Flagship Tekna grade adds lane departure warning, blind spot warning, around view monitor and full leather heated front seats.

Revised prices have yet to be revealed.
