Subaru’s latest Levorg

17 May 2019

SUBARU has updated its Levorg family estate model for 2019, incorporating a raft of improvements.

Featuring permanent four wheel drive for extra grip, the latest incarnation of the popular spacious load-lugger gets a two-litre petrol engine, refined exterior styling and a selection of interior upgrades including new safety technology.

The new petrol engine is combined with Subaru’s continuously variable transmission and symmetrical all-wheel drive as standard. It also benefits from fine-tuned suspension and more responsive handling to achieve an improved ride.

The front end has been revamped with a more defined front bumper, a sharper front grille and refreshed headlight and fog light designs. Distinctive newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior and, in addition to these visual enhancements, the Levorg gets improved visibility with LED steering-responsive headlights and LED fog lights.

Inside, there are a variety of discreet style upgrades to the instrument panel, door trim and switches. There are also comfort improvements to include power-adjustable lumbar support on the driver’s seat. Rear seat and boot space usability is enhanced with a new 40/20/40 split folding rear seat configuration that is particularly suited to loading long items whilst carrying up to two people in the rear.

The intuitive seven-inch multifunction colour touchscreen is easier to use and contains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.

Subaru has been voted Best Manufacturer for Safety Features in the 2019 Driver Power Survey and the company says that the Levorg demonstrates the brand’s commitment to build safe cars. The so-called EyeSight driver assistance system includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and lane departure warning. Blind spot monitoring and a reversing camera are also fitted, and are now complemented by a front view camera and smart rear-view mirror to improve visibility in areas that would ordinarily be obstructed from view.

Priced at £30,995, the Levorg will come in a choice of six colours and will arrive in dealerships from July.
