Suzuki’s Swift with Attitude

21 January 2019

SUZUKI has introduced a new version of its Swift range with attitude and a price tag of £13,500.

The order book opens today for the newcomer, which is called Swift Attitude and gets styling enhancements inside and out, plus new equipment.

It is based on the most popular SZ3 version but has a very distinctive exterior design. Suzuki says that its key selling points are its low running costs despite being one of the most powerful and economical cars in its class.

The equipment list of the standard SZ3 includes six airbags, air conditioning, DAB radio with Bluetooth, rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel and LED daytime running lights.

This new Attitude version adds black polished 16-inch alloy wheels, front foglamps, a mesh front grille with chrome trim, rear upper spoiler and front, side and rear carbon-effect skirts.

The car is powered by Suzuki’s 1.2-litre Dualjet four-cylinder engine with an output of 90bhp and is equipped with a five speed manual transmission. It has a CO2 emissions figure of 108g/km or 124g/km depending upon which of the two recognised emissions tests is used, and official economy of 60mpg.

The special edition model is offered in red as a solid colour at the standard price, or in white, silver, black, grey and Burning Red as metallic colours as a £485 cost option.

The more sporting design is aimed primarily at younger buyers who the company hopes will eventually graduate to the more powerful 1.4-litre Boosterjet Sport model when their finances improve to meet the higher insurance costs.

The £13,500 price is being held until the end of March. There is a PCP on offer, which takes the price down to £13,000 and comes with free finance over four years at a rate of £155 per month, plus a final payment to keep the car.
